Wedding photography

I offer a refreshing approach to Wedding Photography, keeping pictures natural with a Reportage style whilst maintaining a laid back, friendly attitude.I keep some traditional elements such as guest shots but keep fuss and posing to a minimum. Guests are encouraged in a relaxed way with emphasis on capturing moments as they happen naturally. The style of my work is to tell the story of the day. With the stand back and watch it happen through the lens approach, people are put at ease.Packages are now put together based on the exact coverage you want. You book your coverage before the wedding and order any albums and prints you would like to showcase the best shots after the wedding once you have your images.

I set up my studio before I start shooting so that I am ready to start shooting when people arrive. My coverage is relaxed and informal and I stay from approx 7pm until after the first dance (or 9pm whichever is sooner).Guests are asked to come and have a studio style shot to give you something different in your images.

The bit inbetween the wedding and reception is usually pretty relaxed. I use this opportunity to get images of your venue decor, guests arriving from your ceremony and of course ...the infamous cake cutting shot.Time will also be made for the special couple to explore the grounds for relaxed shots. If a Wedding Breakfast is scheduled, I shall leave when guests are seated. If not, I shall leave after 1 ½ hours. Approachable at all times. Don’t be afraid to grab me at any time.

Bride preparation shots are becoming more and more popular with all styles of Wedding photography. These moments before a wedding itself are full of a mixture of excitement , apprehension and pure joy, capturing the emotion of the build up to the wedding. It also gets you used to the camera before the ceremony. So much work goes into getting the Bride ready that you need photos to prove that getting into a dress is a 3 person job! Photography is unobtrusive and images are taken of more than just the Bride. Classic shots such as the dress hanging up, Father of the Brides cufflinks, Mother of the Brides hat... I stress the importance of photographing every detail of your wedding day. It has taken you months to pick out every detail so it is only right as a photographer document these things. A minimum of 1 and a half hours will be spent with the Bride before setting off to the ceremony venue to capture guests arrival.

As a professional photographer, being able to respond to high stress situations is mandatory. I have a laid back, alert and experienced method to anything a wedding can throw at me.Although the style is reportage, I don’t JUST stand back. I prompt shots in a friendly and assertive manner to get the most out of you and your guests. Guest shots shouldn’t take a long time, you are all there to enjoy yourselves. My aim is to make guest shots as quick and painless as possible whilst still capturing a number of decent, quality shots. A lot of candid shots are taken of everybody in attendance throughout the day. Candid shots are flattering because no one has that painful ‘How do I smile for a photo?’ expression on their face. You can feel free to suggest shots throughout my time with you.
